St. Cecilia School

Saint Cecilia School, established in 1930, is a Roman Catholic, co-educational parish elementary school located in the Parkside neighborhood of San Francisco, California. Since its inception St. Cecilia School has remained under the administration of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary.

For each grade, Kindergarten through Grade Eight, there are two sections of each grade with an average class size of thirty students per section.

St. Cecilia School, mindful of its mission to be witness to the love of Christ for all, admits students of any race, color, or national/ethnic origin. Likewise, St. Cecilia School does not discriminate against any applicant for employment on the basis of age, sex, race, or national/ethnic origin.

7:10 am Supervision begins in the schoolyard
8:00 School doors open
8:10 Classes begin Morning Kindergarten - Eighth Grade
9:45 - 10:05 Recess - Grades K-AM,1, 2, & 3
10:15 -10:35 Recess - Grades 4, 5, & 6
10:40 -10:55 Recess - Grades 7 & 8
11:25 Classes begin for Afternoon Kindergarten
11:45 Dismissal for Morning Kindergarten
12:00 - 12:40 pm Lunch & Recess - Grades 1, 2, & 3
12:25 - 1:00 Lunch & Recess - Grades 4, 5, & 6
12:40 - 1:15 Lunch & Recess - Grades 7 & 8
3:00 Dismissal - All Grades (M, T, Th, Fr)
2:30 Dismissal - Grades 1-8 (Wednesday)
12:30 pm Dismissal - All Grades (4th Monday of each month and holidays)

Wednesday Early Dismissal
Every Wednesday the students in Grades 1-8 are dismissed at 2:30 to allow time for a faculty meeting. There is no change in the Kindergarten schedule, they are dismissed at 3:00.
