NOTE From Mr. Uskert

Dear Families,

This week starts our window for the second STAR test of the year. This will be a good opportunity to see how much your child has grown since the start of the school year. But, please remember that these tests are just a snapshot of your child's education and should be seen as one of many examples of their work. We are winding down the first trimester, which ends on November 22, so please make time to check SchoolSpeak for any updates and to follow how your child is doing in each subject (grades 3-8). With only a few weeks before Thanksgiving and then the holidays quickly after, it is important to help your child remain focused on their school work.

I'd also like to take this time to remind everyone to continue to be mindful and safe during morning drop-off. We continue to see lots of children entering the schoolyard through the rectory parking lot, please avoid this in order to ensure the safety of the students. You can drop off in front of the school or use drive thru. At dismissal, if you use drive thru, please remember to be mindful of our neighbors as you sit on 18th Ave waiting for the line to move - idling engines not only make noise but also cause pollution so please shut off your engine while you wait.

I hope you all have a wonderful end to the week and a relaxing weekend. Good luck to all of our CYO teams competing in the girls volleyball and boys soccer playoffs this weekend!

Best,

Mr. Chris Uskert
Principal
