Train up a child in the way he should go. Even when he is old he will not depart from it.

Schoolwide Learning Expectations

Graduates of St. Cecilia School are Active Christians who experience a relationship with God which includes a personal and communal prayer life.

Dear Parents,

Next week begins the second year in using Renaissance STAR Enterprise standardized testing. The testing window is September 5 – September 15. Students will be tested four times during the 2017-2018 school year – September, November, February, and May. The students in Grades K and 1 will take the Early Literacy test (one day) and students in Grades 2-8 will complete the STAR Math and STAR Reading exams (on separate days). The STAR test uses an adaptive computer software, so depending on how the student answers a question, the next question will become harder or easier. The goal of the first administration of this test is to get a baseline assessment of each student. The tests administered in November, February, and May are to see how students are progressing. The tests are about 30 minutes each.

At St. Cecilia School, we do everything possible to ensure the safety of our children. All adults working with children or are planning on chaperoning on field trips must be trained using Shield the Vulnerable Online Training Course. In addition, if you are planning on volunteering on a regular basis (more than 3 times a month) or chaperoning on an overnight field trip, you must also be fingerprinted using the Live Scan process. Please click here for more details.
