DUE TODAY - Tuition Agreements for 2018-2019

Last week we sent home important information regarding tuition rates and financial assistance with your oldest child today. Please ask him/her for this information.

Tuition Agreements for 2018-2019
The tuition agreement must be completed by TODAY, Wednesday, May 2. Please turn in this agreement to the school office.

Monsignor Collins Endowment Fund Tuition Assistance Program
The deadline for submitting an application for tuition assistance is Friday, May 11th.

Confirmation

This Saturday, May 5th at 10:30 a.m. the parish will present 71 candidates to Bishop William Justice for the Sacrament of Confirmation.



Extended Care Registration

Registration for 2018-2019 Extended Care ends May 11th. There will be NO registration for Extended Care in August through December 2018. The next registration will be January 2019.

The last day for Kindergarten students to attend Extended Care will be on Tuesday, May 29.
The last day for all others attending will be on Thursday, May 31.

Drop in will be closed starting Tuesday, May 29.



May Procession - This Friday

Please join us on Friday, May 4 at 10:45 a.m. for our May Procession Mass where Lauren Mandel, May Queen, and her court Alina Kushner and Shannon Williamson will crown the statue of the Blessed Mother.



Lunch Volunteers Needed

We need 4 volunteers each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday to assist students in picking up their meals. There is NO COOKING NOR FOOD PREP!
Volunteers are needed from 10:45 a.m. - 12 noon and 11:45 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. We encourage all families to volunteer at least once per quarter.

Birthday Book Club

Who wants Free Dress? Who wants an Ice Cream Party? When a class donates 20 books, they get a free dress pass. When 25 books are donated, they get free dress and an ice cream party! The last day to purchase books to qualify for free dress and an ice cream party is Thursday, May 10th.

Books can be purchased through the BBC for $18 at any time to honor your child’s birthday or for a special dedication to a friend or loved one for any occasion.

SCRIP

SCRIP Order Sheets will come home every other week, but you can always print an order form from the school website. We will fill orders every week!

Our Process is Simple:
1. Order forms come home by Tuesday or by CLICKING HERE.
2. Return your order with cash or check payable to St. Cecilia SCRIP by Thursday at 9:00 a.m.
3. All orders are filled Thursday afternoon with your oldest child or held in the office for pick up.
4. If your SCRIP is not available we will contact you directly to choose something on hand or a date it will be available.

23rd Annual JOG-A-THON: Friday, May 18


Free Dress for Students

Mark your calendar for this Friday, May 18th! We need your support to make this a fun and successful fundraiser for St. Cecilia's athletic programs. Funds raised from this event are used to buy new equipment for girls and boys sports programs including volleyballs, basketballs, uniforms, and other athletic items that need to be replaced due to wear and tear.


How It Works

Please CLICK HERE to download your sponsor sheet today. Sign up as many sponsors as you can based on the number of laps you think you can run or a one-time donation can be made. Donations should be collected at the time of the pledge. Fill out your sponsor sheets and raffle tickets and return to the school office with the money you collected in an envelope marked "Jog-a-Thon".

Walk, jog or run and have some fun at the Jog-a-thon on May 18th. Kindergarten through 4th grade will walk/jog around the schoolyard. Grades 5 through 8 will walk/jog around Larsen Park. Once finished, all grades will enjoy a chilly tasty treat. Yum!


Individual Prizes

The top three students who bring in the most money will each win a prize! Last year's grand prizes were 4 View Box Tickets to the Giants vs NY Mets on June 25, trampoline jumping at House of Air for 4 people, and rock climbing for 2 at Planet Granite.


Class Prizes

The top 2 classes that bring in the most money will enjoy an ice cream party. Every class that has 100% participation (every student in the classroom has collected money from at least one sponsor) will enjoy a Free Dress Day as a classroom.


Raffle Prizes

Listen to morning announcements for your raffle ticket to be pulled to win a fun prize. There will be 3 winners per day the week of May 14 - 18. Each $10 you collect gets you a raffle ticket for the daily raffle. Be sure to fill out, cut out and submit one ticket for each $10 you turn in. Winning tickets will be pulled each morning during the week of the Jog-a-thon. To be eligible for the prizes, your tickets must be turned in by the previous day. The more money you collect, the more tickets you have to turn in and the more chances you have to win.


Volunteers

Parents can help on the day of the Jog-a-thon by volunteering to count laps, tie shoelaces, and hand out treats.

Playdate at Parkside Park

The St. Cecilia Young Families Group invites you to a playdate at Parkside Park on Sunday, May 20 after the 9:30 a.m. Family Mass. Muffins, bagels, coffee and juice will be provided.

Saint Cecilia's Chinese Club: Venue UPDATE

The Saint Cecilia Chinese Club will have its General Meeting at the Serra Room (next to the lower church) on Friday, May 4th at 7:00 p.m.
This is a potluck event and ALL (including children) are welcomed.
The club will provide desserts and drinks and cookie.
