Message from Mrs. Connelly

Dear Families,

This eNewsletter is full of details for our Fundraiser taking place this Saturday evening.
We invite you to take a step back in time to New Orleans in the 1920’s. Board the SC Vicente Riverboat and listen to the sounds of jazz, feast on southern fare, dance, and support our students by raising our glasses and our paddles. Join us, and LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL! Have a great time and please participate in the second annual “Raise a Paddle.” Thank you to Nicole Mullen and Diana Leonida and their committee for the countless hours they have put in to making Saturday night a memorable one!

I would like to share an exciting announcement about our new Transitional Kindergarten (TK) program. One year ago our current Vice-Principal, Mrs. Emily Murphy, expressed interest in returning to the classroom as a full-time teacher. I saw an opportunity to have Mrs. Murphy lead the creation of our new program and asked her to be a teacher in the TK classroom next year. Joining her will be Mrs. Katie Moylan. A graduate of St. Cecilia School, Mrs. Moylan is returning to the St. Cecilia community after teaching preschool and TK at Lakeside for many years. Mrs. Murphy and Mrs. Moylan will partner to build the bridge from preschool to kindergarten for our new TK students in the 2018/19 school year.

A calendar note for our next school year (2018-2019):
Registraton Day is Monday, August 27, 2018
First day of classes is Tuesday, August 28, 2018

There is information below on how to become a nominee for a Mothers Club Board or Committee position. Here is your chance to help make a difference at St. Cecilia School. Please consider a leadership or committee position with this wonderful group of dedicated mothers.

Lenten Blessings,

Mrs. Marian Connelly

Raise the Paddle for SC!

Last year, our generous community donated enough money through Raise the Paddle to implement our amazing STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) program!

At this year’s fundraiser, Raise the Paddle donations will be used to continue the ever popular coding classes, install three water bottle refilling stations throughout the school building, and to supply the school with Next Generation Science Standard curriculum kits! Please consider Raising Your Paddle and showing your support!

Even if you cannot attend the fundraiser in person, you can still participate by donating online.
We are hoping for 100% participation by the parent community in Raise the Paddle for SC. The class with the highest parent participation in Raise the Paddle for SC will get a pizza party and free dress!

Together we can help SC and benefit our children!
Thank you for your continued generosity!
