Supply List-- Many families have pre-ordered School Supplies through the Mothers’ Club. If you did not, you will need to purchase your own supplies. Click here to access the supply list.
Office Depot “5% Back to Schools Year Round Program”-- This Program is in effect year round. Our School ID# is 70014090. Using this number and shopping at Office Depot for school supplies will help St. Cecilia School earn credits for free supplies. If you don’t have the school ID, ask the clerk to look up our school’s number! Thank you for participating in this program.
Uniforms List-- Click here for a list of the uniform requirements for next year. A school sweater is REQUIRED for all students (K-8) and a belt is REQUIRED for all boys! Uniform shoes for both boys and girls will be SOLID WHITE, LOW CUT, tied or velcro, no zippers.
If your child received a block and/or star emblems at the sports awards assemblies, you can sew them onto the lower right side of the sweater.
Hair Regulations-- No student will be admitted into school next year with dyed, bleached or spiked hair. No fad haircuts allowed! Boys must be clean-shaven. Shaved heads and blade cuts less than two are not acceptable. Hair must be out of the eyes and off of the collars! Thank you for your cooperation!
Sandwiches
You have been so generous all year providing lunches on Wednesdays for the needy. Today, May 26, will be our last “Wednesday Sandwich Day” for this school year. We will begin again next October. Thank you!
Last Days of School MINIMUM DAYS AND FREE DRESS Tuesday, June 1 through Thursday, June 3
In order to facilitate making uniforms available for the Uniform Exchange, the students will have free dress on Tuesday through Thursday
(June 1-3). Hopefully, this will allow some time for you to wash any items you would like to donate to the Uniform Exchange and send them to school on Tuesday, June 1.
Students may wear play clothes Tuesday through Thursday (June 1-3). Please follow the FREE DRESS POLICY as stipulated in the Parent/Student Handbook: “Students may wear pants or jeans provided they are not torn, faded, or frayed. No low cut or skin tight jeans! No baggy clothes! Tennis shoes and walking shorts (NOT SHORT SHORTS) may also be worn. Mini skirts, short cropped tops, and tank tops are not allowed. Shirts are to be appropriate for school, avoiding logos which are insulting or suggestive. Closed shoes and socks are required and must be acceptable for pavilion use. Not allowed: make-up, nail polish, multiple earrings, hanging earrings, necklaces!”
Since Free Dress is a privilege, cooperation of both students and parents is requested so that the standard of school dress is maintained. We reserve the right to send anyone home who comes to school inappropriately dressed.

2010 Parish Festival! Playland at St. Cecilia
Save The Date - October 15, 16, 17
Relive childhood memories and create new ones at “Playland at St. Cecilia”, our annual parish festival. It’s our fundraising and social event of the year! Mark your calendars now to enjoy the “Giant” Slide, delight in an Its’ It, and maybe even get a glimpse of Laughing Sal.
We are already hard at work preparing for the festival, and there are many ways to get involved from volunteering, to sponsoring a booth, to donating silent auction items, and much more.
Of immediate need is a Silent Auction Chair and committee to help! It’s a great way to work with a core team and provide a valuable service to the school and parish. We begin soliciting donations in early summer, so a Chair with a retail background and flair for decorating would be ideal.
If you are interested in this opportunity or other ways to get involved, please contact any of the Party of Five” (aka Festival Co-Chairs):
Stephanie Pasini (415-516-2614)
Janice Calonico (415-309-8073)
Donita Murphy (415-239-5887)
Michelle Mikovich (415-999-2466)
Michelle O’Driscoll (415-584-3414)
You can also reach us via email at playlandatsc@yahoo.com
Revive your City pride, and tell your friends and family! More details to follow in the coming months.
