Friday, June 3 and Monday, June 6
In order to facilitate making uniforms available for the Uniform Exchange, the students will have free dress on Friday and Monday
(June 3 and 6). Hopefully, this will allow some time for you to wash any items you would like to donate to the Uniform Exchange and send them to school on Monday, June 6,
8:00 A.M.
Students may wear play clothes Tuesday through Thursday (June 1-3). Please follow the FREE DRESS POLICY as stipulated in the Parent/Student Handbook: “Students may wear pants or jeans provided they are not torn, faded, or frayed. No low cut or skin tight jeans! No baggy clothes! Tennis shoes and walking shorts (NOT SHORT SHORTS) may also be worn. Mini skirts, short cropped tops, and tank tops are not allowed. Shirts are to be appropriate for school, avoiding logos which are insulting or suggestive. Closed shoes and socks are required and must be acceptable for pavilion use. Not allowed: make-up, nail polish, multiple earrings, hanging earrings, necklaces!”
Since Free Dress is a privilege, cooperation of both students and parents is requested so that the standard of school dress is maintained. We reserve the right to send anyone home who comes to school inappropriately dressed.

Information Alert
Today we sent home a packet of information for the 2011-2012 school year:
August Calendar: Click here
School Supply List
Many families have pre-ordered School Supplies through the Mothers’ Club. If you did not, you will need to purchase your own supplies. Click here to access the supply list.
Office Depot “5% Back to Schools Year Round Program”
This Program is in effect year round. Our School ID# is 70014090. Using this number and shopping at Office Depot for school supplies will help St. Cecilia School earn credits for free supplies. If you don’t have the school ID, ask the clerk to look up our school’s number! Thank you for participating in this program.
Uniform List
Click here for a list of the uniform requirements for next year. A school sweater is REQUIRED for all students (K-8) and a belt is REQUIRED for all boys! Uniform shoes for both boys and girls will be SOLID WHITE, LOW CUT, tied or velcro, no zippers.
If your child received a block and/or star emblems at the sports awards assemblies, you can sew them onto the lower right side of the sweater.
School Supply Sales
Time is running out! The last day to order your packaged school supplies is Monday, May 30. Support your school and have one less errand this summer. Go to www.myschoolsuppliesusa.com and order today.
Summer Music Lessons
The music teachers have private studios that are open for summer music lessons. The school music program is closed and the summer music lessons are not affiliated with the school. The summer session has no required number of lessons. If your child would like to be a musician but has never studied an instrument, the summer is an excellent time to sample lessons to see if music or a particular teacher is a good fit before you commit to a contract in the fall. If your child is already a musician, the summer is an opportunity to learn new pieces or get a head start on preparation for future concerts. The instruments available are piano, violin, viola, 'cello, guitar, recorder, flute, saxophone, and clarinet. Please note that if you want piano lessons, you need to own or rent a traditional acoustic piano, not an electric piano. If your child wants to study flute, saxophone, or clarinet, he/she needs to be in the third or fourth grade, depending on how tall your child may be. Contact your music teacher directly or Bonnie Knight at (415) 665-1583 or musicroom8@aol.com for further information.

You have been so generous all year providing lunches on Wednesdays for the needy. Today, Wednesday, May 25, is our last “Wednesday Sandwich Day” for this school year. We will begin again next October. Thank you!
