Report Cards
Report Cards will be distributed on Friday, January 15. They should be signed and returned to the teachers by Friday, January 22.

Keyboarding Class - Last Call!
Mr. Watters (teacher of Grade 5 Room 19) will offer a keyboarding class for students in Grades 4 - 6, on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, 7:25-7:55 A.M., from January 19 – March 31. Registration forms have been given to the students. There are only a few places left!

January Concerts
The schedule for our annual January Concerts is on the January calendar. We look forward to having our student musicians play for their classmates. Parents, relatives, and friends are invited!

Musical Merit Certificate Program
The deadline for enrollment in the Musical Merit Certificate Program has been extended to Thursday, January 14, Noon. If your child has been invited to participate and you have not yet enrolled, please return your invitation form and a check for $25 to Bonnie Knight in the school office. Spring Semester Music Lesson

MOTHERS' CLUB

Multicultural Day Is Coming--Wednesday, February 10
Every year the International Talent Show and Food Fair brings us together to share culture with talent and cuisine and to celebrate the unique backgrounds of the St. Cecilia community.

At this time we are calling all chefs! Share a special food representing your heritage! Contact Sandy Jadallah at sjadalla@pacbell.net You can also celebrate your culture by participating in our annual multicultural talent show. Present a poem, play an instrument, dress in traditional costume, or sing and dance. Hot Lunch Volunteers Needed
It is volunteer time to help out in January, February, March, April, & May! To keep the FABOULOUS hot lunch food coming we need 8 volunteers each day from 11:00-1:15. There is not food preparation! You just help the students pickup their meals. It is great fun and the kids LOVE to see their parents helping out. Please consider taking on a few shifts in 2010!! Here are the dates for which we need assistance:
Jan: 12 ,14, 19, 21, 26, 28
Feb: 2, 4, 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, 25
March: 2, 4, 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, 25, 30
April: 13, 15, 20, 22, 27, 29
May: 4, 6, 11, 13, 18, 20, 25, 27

Crab Feed!
Saturday, January 23, 6:00 - 11:30, $60 per person includes Crab (or veggie plate), salad, pasta, wine, water, open bar, tax, gratuity, and dj dancing featuring our own Paul Haettenschwiller. St Cecilia vs. Holy Name Boys’ Basketball Tournament
On Friday, January 29, at St. Cecilia Pavilion Holy Name and St Cecilia basketball players will play together in various games. The jamboree is closed to all spectators. It is a mandatory event for all players. If a player does not attend the jamboree, he cannot play in the tournament on Saturday. All coaches need to come to the assigned time for their grade level to assist with the jamboree. The schedule for the jamboree is as follows:

7th Grade 6:00 – 7:30
8th Grade 7:30 – 9:00


The annual St Cecilia vs. Holy Name Boys’ Basketball Tournament will on Saturday January 30, at St Cecilia Pavilion. Tickets for the tournament will be on sale at school during the week of Monday, January 25. If bought at school, the tickets are $2, and all of the proceeds will go to St Cecilia. If the tickets are bought at the door on the day of the tournament, the cost is $3, and the proceeds will be split between St Cecilia and Holy Name. Everyone will need a ticket for the tournament including all players and cheerleaders. Click here for the tournament schedule.
