MINIMUM DAY MONDAY, JANUARY 25 - Teacher In-Service

Sibling Registration
If you have a child (sibling) you want to register for our school for the 2009-2010 school year, you should have responded to the previous notices that went home before Christmas. Application Packets for siblings were sent home on Monday, January 4. Applications (K-6) are due back to the office by Wednesday, January 13. Please call the school office if you have not received an Application Packet.

Open House
On January 13 and 14, from 8:30-11:00, our school (Grades K-8) will be open for both current and prospective parents to visit. All are welcome!

Report Cards
The second quarter ends on Friday, January 8, and report cards will be distributed on Friday, January 15. Report cards should be signed and returned to the teachers by Friday, January 22.

Primary Grade Parent Meeting
On December 7, Primary Grade parents received a letter inviting them to a parent meeting on Tuesday, January 12, at 7:30 P.M., in the Lower Church, which will explain an Archdiocesan program for primary grade children entitled “Talking About Touching”. This program, mandated by Archbishop Niederauer, the Archbishop of San Francisco, was implemented last year in all Archdiocesan schools and parish religious education programs. Those of you who had a child in the primary grades last year probably already attended this meeting and do not need to attend again. Children should NOT attend this meeting!

Keyboarding Class
Mr. Chris Watters (teacher of Grade 5 Room 19) will offer a keyboarding class for students in Grades 4 - 6, on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, 7:25-7:55 A.M., from January 19 – March 31. Registration forms have been given to the students.

Music Department News
The deadline for enrollment in the Musical Merit Certificate Program has been extended to Thursday, January 14, Noon. If your child has been invited to participate and you have not yet enrolled, please return your invitation form and a check for $25 to Bonnie Knight in the school office. f you have any questions, contact Bonnie Knight, Director of the Music Department, at Musicroom8@aol.com or (415) 665-1583 (home phone).

January Concerts
The schedule for our annual January Concerts is on the January calendar. We look forward to having our student musicians play for their classmates. Parents, relatives, and friends are invited!
