Welcome to the Alumni Link for St. Cecilia School! The St. Cecilia Alumni Association was formed in 2005 in response to many suggestions over the years that the school have an official way to keep in touch with alumni and allow alumni to keep in touch with one another. We publish a short newsletter twice each year and have been working on creating a database of information on the more than 5400 alumni of St. Cecilia School.
Beginning with the 75th anniversary of the founding of St. Cecilia School in 2005, the Alumni Committee has been planning Alumni Sunday on the last Sunday in January. In conjunction with Catholic Schools Week, Alumni Sunday consists of 9:30 Mass in the church followed by a reception in the school auditorium. “Decade” classes are especially honored, with the class photo on display in the auditorium, but alumni from all classes are welcome. Some classes have planned individual reunions during that weekend, too, to help extend the celebration and allow more time for visiting with former classmates. A reunion does not have to fall on a “milestone” year to be fun and successful. The Class of 1960 recently held “The Class of ’60 turns 60” (which would be a 46th reunion) and is in the planning stages of a “When I’m 64” reunion in 2010.
The Alumni Committee has been seeking Class Contacts for each class in order to facilitate communication with the class members and keep contact information current. This has also helped us to find “lost” alums. If you would be interested in being the Class Contact for your class, please let us know!
We would love to include you in our database to keep you up-to-date on events at St. Cecilia School. Please forward contact information, including name, maiden name (if applicable), mailing address, email address, and year of graduation to alumni@stceciliaschool.org so that we can reach you. If you are in contact with any of your classmates, we would love to have their information as well. You can also send in information for the class notes section of the newsletter. Did you attend St. Cecilia School but not graduate from here? You, too, are most welcome to join the Alumni Association, and your classmates would love to have you!
We look forward to hearing from you soon!
